Chix Pollo, pronounced “Chix Po-yo” and Spanish for “Chix Chicken,” is one of the nations leading fast-casual service restaurants who specializes in deep-fried and flame-grilled chicken. The Chix concept was founded in Shawnee, OK, in 2007. In 2010, it was decided to increase our menu to an American and Mexican Menu. The name at that point was change to Chix Pollo. Our success is due to the unique preparation of the award-winning “famous chicken strips”. The chicken is marinated in a special recipe of herbs, and spices, passed down from the founding family. The marinated chicken is then deep-fried or flame-grilled, hand cut and served hot off the grill. There’s no warming tray used in our operation.
